​​​​​◆ Read all care labels to determine the best way to clean the fabrics.

Sort clothing by colors and temperature settings.

Check all of the pockets! Watch out for pens, crayons, gum, and sharp objects

    belt buckles/pocket knives) that could possibly damage your clothing.

Ask questions to the available attendant or call the assistance phone number about

    the store's machines.

Select a machine that has enough room to move all items freely. Do not overload

    machines.

Check the machine for anything that may possible damage your clothes. Do not trust

    the person who used the machine before you.

Measure the soap. Use ONLY the amount that is needed for the machine's capacity and

    size of the load. Too much soap can over-suds the machine and result in the machine

    turning off.

Keep an eye out. Someone may mistake the wrong load for their own. It is the

    customer's responsibility to take care of and watch their belongings. EXPRESS

Be respectful of the laundromat and others. Pick up after yourself, put things back

    where they were found and be courteous to fellow laundromat users.

​​​​There are many things to take in account when going to the laundromat. To be better prepared, follow this checklist of tasks to do or consider when using the laundromat.

Proper laundry sorting is important to prevent laundry problems like dye transfer from one garment to another, shrinking clothes and unsightly lint accumulations over the rest of the wash. Follow care labels, if there is any doubt about proper care.
